Drones

Watching FPV footage on YouTube made me want to fly myself. Buying a finished quad felt like missing the point, so I chose the frame and motors, soldered everything, and tuned the settings on my own. That was the start.

Now I fly small quads casually and build waterproof ones. I love the moment when a build flies exactly as intended, and I also enjoy the time spent tracking down why it does not.

When I travel I bring a DJI Air 3S. I handled the DIPS aircraft registration and flight permits myself and carry drone insurance. Seeing a familiar landscape from above, with structures and patterns you never notice on the ground, never gets old.
